Go-fast parts included solid lifters and aggressive cam! The block is mated to the famous Muncie M20 4-Speed manual transmission, and a 12-bolt rear end with 3:70.1 gears. For strength and reliability, engineers at Chevy stuffed forged-aluminum pistons, forged-steel connecting rods rotating a forged-steel crankshaft, in an iron block. in fact, the 454 is the largest engine GM had ever bolted to a production car. In the 1970, there were few cars bigger than the Chevrolet 454ci. beast is from a 1970 Chevelle! In the 1960s and early '70s, horsepower was king, and the Chevelle 454 reigned supreme. Now sporting a stunning black paint with white stripes, and the option cowl induction hood that's safely held with hood pins, it is jaw dropping. This is a true SS if you breakdown the VIN it would have been a factory 350ci with AC in brown. The SS models came with custom lower trim and grille also came with SS/454 badges on the fenders and SS tailgate.
